Board of Directors

The Australian Institute of Management was incorporated over 60 years ago to accommodate management of the day's need to find like-minded individuals for peer reference, networking and formal learning.

Today the Australian Institute of Management Board is comprised of two representatives, the Chairman and CEO, of each AIM Division. In this way managers' views, needs and challenges can be recognised, discussed and debated through a single Board structure.

Terry Agnew FAIM
National Chairman

Terry Agnew was elected National Chairman of the Australian Institute in May 2008. He served as President of AIM WA from 2006 to 2008, and as Board Director there during the previous two years.

Mr Agnew is Group Chief Executive, RAC of Western Australia – a position he has held for 10 years. He is on the Board of the West Coast Eagles, and is a Councillor of the Australian Business Arts Foundation, WA.

He holds an MSc and an MBA, and in 2005 he completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
