Unfortunately, the last date to submit an assessment towards any of the four non-equivalent superseded qualifications has passed.

If you would like to continue with your studies, you must transition into an updated qualification. For further information to transition please email qualifications@aim.com.au.

If you have not contacted AIM regarding your transition, you would have been withdrawn and have incurred a debt.

In April 2015, all the business qualifications offered by AIM have been updated in accordance to The Department of Education and Training's new Business Services Training Package (BSB).

This update has resulted in two categories of superseded or outdated qualifications, equivalent and non-equivalent.

For the majority of qualifications affected by this change, the updated qualification is equivalent to the superseded one. The only change seen by students, will be a new 2015 qualification code and new unit of competency codes appearing on their credential issued by AIM.

There are four superseded qualifications that are not equivalent to the new updated ones.

These are:

  1. Certificate IV in Frontline Management

  2. Diploma of Management

  3. Advanced Diploma of Management

They have been replaced by Leadership and Management qualifications.

  1. Advanced Diploma of Project Management

This has been replaced by Advanced Diploma of Program Management.

If students enrolled in these superseded qualifications are wanting to continue their studies with AIM, they need to transition into the most up-to-date qualification.

Equivalent Qualifications

The table below lists the qualifications offered by AIM that are deemed equivalent.

If you are enrolled in one of these qualifications, you can continue with your original study plan. AIM will transition you to the new qualification and you will receive the same qualification with a new qualification code when you graduate.

If you are enrolled in any of the above qualifications and wish to continue your studies with AIM, you must transition to the new qualification and complete the additional assessments requried.

  • AIM can ‘transition’ your enrolment into the new qualification

  • For those that transfer, we will grant you credit towards the new qualification for your assessments completed to date

  • For the Leadership and Management qualifications, you will need to complete at least two additional units on top of your current offering. This will depend on your personal qualification progress.
Any additional courses required can be completed online free of charge, or face to face at an additional cost

  • For the Program Management qualification, the superseded qualification was very different to the new offerring. Hence, you will need to attend additional training - these courses can be completed free of charge.

  • To transition to the new qualification please email qualifications@aim.com.au

IMPORTANT: If we do not hear from you by 25 March 2016, you will be withdrawn from your qualification and for those paying via VET FEE Help, a debt will still be inccurred.

If you feel that you will be genuinely disadvantaged by either of the above options and that they will limit your ability to complete either qualification please email us at qualifications@aim.com.au and one of our Compliance Team will contact you to discuss.
