AIM Members Lounge: your office away from the office
We understand the multitude of challenges that Australian managers face in a fast-paced and dynamic business world.
Travel is a weekly or even daily part of life for many busy executives and this component of professional life comes with its own unique set of stresses and challenges.
One of the many difficulties of travelling interstate is finding appropriate office facilities when you’re visiting another city.
AIM Members have a unique advantage in that they have exclusive access to AIM’s state-of-the-art Members Lounges at each of AIM’s Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart and Sydney AIM campuses. The Members Lounge is a free service to Members.
For those Members who’d like to hold a meeting, but not at their office, AIM also offers exclusive access to a range of comfortable and professional meeting rooms.
Whether you are interstate, intrastate or around the corner the AIM Members Lounge provides you with an office away from the office.
Paul McDonald FAIM, Managing Director of Strategic Knowhow has said the Lounge is an excellent place to meet other Members or invite guests.
“As a Fellow of AIM for almost 25 years I’ve seen a lot of changes in the organisation. One of the most practical initiatives for members in that time has been the establishment of the Members Lounge,” Mr McDonald said.
“It has open areas for casual meetings or reading in the impressive library plus a number of well-equipped meeting rooms for more serious work”.
John Groarke AIMM, Senior Partner at Find a Consultant described the AIM Members Lounge as a restful haven to recharge the batteries (self, smartphone, tablet, laptop) and to escape from the city outside.
"The AIM Members Lounge is a place to make new friends, a place of comfort and support when away from your home city," Mr Groarke said.
"I am a regular in Sydney, and I have used Canberra (a lot) and Melbourne (twice). The members lounge is a brilliant and practical inclusion within the member benefits package.
"There’s great support from the AIM staff in all locations … they are my new friends too. Sydney has the location, just metres from Circular Quay. Canberra has cheap parking nearby. And Melbourne is well served by the tram network … plus a very distracting view!”
