Australian Institute of Management - Celebrating 65 years

AFR Boss 50 Best Management Books for 2006

Management @ Work Series

AIM's Management @ Work Series, published by John Wiley & Sons Australia, breaks new ground in the business and management book genre.

The series explores the aspects of work that are fundamental for effective management, such as leadership, teams, culture, strategy, marketing, self-management, career progression and self-development.

Leading business and social commentators and practising managers from around Australia are contributing the chapters. They are written in the first person, in a lively and accessible style (non-academic), and each is an engaging combination of down-to-earth theory, real-life examples, personal anecdotes, passionate opinion and practical guidelines.

Each contributor and each chapter orientation are carefully chosen to build a story around a challenging concept. The style of the series is fresh and edgy, designed to appeal to those seeking a new 21st-century approach to management at work.

The books were conceptualised by Management Press, a division of the Australian Institute of Management - Qld & NT.

In December 2006 the first three titles in the series were included in the 50 Best Management Books for the year, compiled by AFR Boss.
