Workshop for Diploma of Project Management

Overview

This workshop forms part of the Diploma of Project Management. The Diploma comprises the following parts:

  • Complete the three day Advanced Project Management program. You will not be required to complete the assessment at that point
  • After the above program, participants then prepare a presentation for an executive briefing (in their own time) on how each of the Diploma project management competencies have been applied within their workplace
  • Attendance at the two day workshop finalises the formal learning and supports students in the development of the major workplace portfolio. Participants also present their executive briefing on how each of the project management competencies have been applied within the workplace
  • After the workshop, participants have a six week period to finalise their Portfolio of Evidence and submit to AIM for assessment.

  • Develop a working knowledge of project management principles, skills and techniques required for the management of projects within an organisational environment
  • Understand the process used in developing a project plan for the management of scope, time, costs, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement
  • Understand the principles of time management, planning, controlling, monitoring and reporting within a project context
  • Understand teamwork, leadership and the practical application of skills in managing human resources within a project environment.
