The Australian Institute of Management has taken an active interest in online education as it has emerged over the past ten years. A strategic stance was taken at that time to be active on the "frontier" right from the start.

Using the services of its internal training team, AIM has established TheCyberInstitute, a global e-learning site that integrates the stable content and learning processes of face-to-face training with the dynamic Internet environment.

TheCyberInstitute is a fully owned subsidiary of Australian Institute of Management - Qld & NT, and has been built in such a way that it can operate as an independent e-learning college or as an inhouse virtual training centre or corporate university. It is an e-interface for business and personal skills courses which grew as a result of understanding the business and management education market.

Using content written expressly for web delivery but based on AIM's high profile, TheCyberInstitute uses the Australian qualifications framework to deliver single units, certificate or diploma level awards to students and companies. It is highly suited to the corporate client and structured so it can act as a virtual training centre… complete with a customised and branded interface and tailored content.
