The application is the formal written submission which is completed online, that includes the nominee's resume and responses to the set of category criteria.

Tip: Support is available for every step of the process. Managers who do not have a current résumé can access an online resume builder.

Tip: Need help or advice on preparing your submission? The dedicated AIM Awards Manager is there to assist you. Contact the Awards Manager on 1300 882 895.

Stage 2 - Judging

A short list of applicants who will progress to interviews is created based on the application materials. If you are a Queensland nominee you will progress to the Regional Finals with winners going on to compete at the State Finals and then National Finals. Nominees in all other states will progress to State and then National finals.

Short listed applicants will be contacted with details of judging day and times. AIM will contact nominated referees and submit the reference check, along with application materials, to the panel of judges.

Regional Judging - Queensland Only

The Regional Finalists will be invited to attend a personal interview with a Judging Panel in their particular region.

In addition to getting to know applicants, the Judging Panel will ask a pre-determined set of questions relevant to each category. All regional finalists around Queensland will be asked the same set of questions. The judging protocols and assessment method used by the regional Judging Panel are pre-determined and standardised.

Refer to the Calendar of Events for the date of judging in your region.

Stage 3 - State Finals

Refer to the Calendar of Events for details of the State judging dates.

Winners for each category - Owner Manager, Young Manager, Not for Profit Manager and Manager of the Year will be announced at the Gala dinner.
