Language Literacy and Numeracy for Trainers
If you are a VET trainer or assessor, this one-day course will help you learn to address the adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) considerations required when delivering work-based training and assessment. Discover tools and techniques to determine the LLN requirements of a training program and find out how to modify your training to meet your learners’ requirements.

This is an essential course if you have responsibility for training, group facilitation or assessing competency in the workplace in your current role, as it will allow you to better support LLN training requirements.
Upon completion of this course you’ll be able to:
- Identify the language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skill requirements of training in relation to an organisation’s work environment
- Use resources and strategies that meet the needs of the learner group, including accessing specialist LLN support as required
- Determine learners’ language, literacy and numeracy skill levels and identify factors or potential barriers that may affect their development
- Review LLN strategies and monitor learner progress while seeking support and feedback from colleagues as required
