People Matters - Inclusion and Diversity Matters
This fast paced 1-day program serves to provide a solid understanding of Inclusion and Diversity in the context of the state public sector. The objective of the program is to improve participant's knowledge and skills to create an environment in the state public sector where every person is treated with dignity and respect, where the talent and values of different groups are respected, and where productivity and customer service improves because the workforce is happier, more motivated and made aware of the benefits that inclusion can bring.

If you work within the Queensland public sector and you are new to management or are seeking a deeper understanding of inclusion and diversity in the workplace, this course will benefit you. Developed by the Public Service Commission and delivered by AIM.
Upon completion of this course you’ll be able to:
- Identify unconscious biases in yourself and others
- Create an action plan to build an inclusive and diverse team
- Identify where service delivery practices can be adapted to make them more inclusive
- Understand the public sector inclusion and diversity focus, key principles and aspirations, and the diversity dividend
- Understand managers’ legislative responsibilities in relation to inclusion and diversity
