Meet Tony. He’s in his late 40’s and resides in Sydney.

Tony has an MBA and is a successful professional in the finance industry with a rich background across a spectrum of industries including IT, business consulting and utilities.

Meet Natasha. She has a Bachelor of Business, is in her mid 20’s and calls the Gold Coast home. Unlike Tony, Natasha much prefers agriculture and fishing than she does finance but together they make the perfect pair.

Launched in September 2014, AIM’s ground-breaking mentoring program has brought together 80 mentoring partnerships everywhere from Kenya to Canberra, from industries including medicine, marketing, government relations and small business.

AIM Executive General Manager Tony Gleeson FAIM said although the mentoring program was still in its infancy, it had already proven a significant success for both the mentees and the mentors.

“Anyone who is serious about taking thenext step along their management journey must have a mentor,” Mr Gleeson said.

“AIM is fortunate to have some of the most successful business leaders and managers as Members and some of these people are committed to sharing their knowledge and experience with the next generation of leaders.

“For experienced managers, leveraging the deep knowledge and wisdom that they possess through mentoring others is a process which is highly valuable.

“For those that are interested in mentoring others, this program will provide the opportunity to give back to their profession, by helping like-minded individuals reach their own career goals.”

“AIM is committed to providing our Members with rewarding professional development opportunities and this mentoring program is an excellent way of delivering on that commitment.”

Whether you need mentoring or want to share your own experience and insights, the AIM Mentoring Program provides a forum to build deeper relationships with professionals across a wide range of industries and organisations.
