New State Manager for South Australia
The Australian Institute of Management is proud to welcome Mark Kirchner FAIM as the new State Manager for AIM South Australia.
Mr Kirchner comes to AIM with a long history in banking and finance, most recently as General Manager for Regional South Australia at Westpac.
Having worked across retail and business banking, along with strategy and operations, Mr Kirchner will bring to AIM a combination of commercial business development skills and key relationships, aligned to developing partnerships to support sustainable growth.
Mr Kirchner has said that the recent national merger presents AIM with a unique opportunity in South Australia and he looks forward to meeting with businesses across the state to discuss AIM’s exciting new offering.
“I’m delighted to be taking on the role of State Manager for AIM South Australia as we have an opportunity to innovate to meet market needs in terms of what South Australia is looking for in leadership and management education,” Mr Kirchner said.
“AIM has a strong brand with a credible reputation and a long history, and we can now take a national proposition to the market to become the preeminent voice for leadership and management in South Australia.
“By drawing on some of our successes from AIM around the country we are able to provide a much stronger proposition to our members, students and partners here in South Australia.
“We hope to build partnerships with strong South Australian businesses to improve productivity in the region through tailored programs that develop professionals from emerging leaders through to CEOs.”
AIM Chief Executive Officer Daniel Musson FAIM has congratulated Mr Kirchner on his appointment and has said he will be a perfect fit for the position.
“We believe Mark’s appointment to this new role reflects the correct operating model and person to capitalise on the great foundations already in place in South Australia,” Mr Musson said.
“The overall goal is to take South Australia forward by focusing on the commercial growth of our business.
“I also want to reiterate that AIM’s commitment to growth in SA is as strong as ever as we leverage the offering of the AIM Business School nationally.”
