People and Culture for Managers

People and Culture for Managers is a one-day AIM short course in the Human Resources faculty that recognises the shift from centralised HR management to shared leadership of people-centred practices. It takes a deep dive into the core challenges and opportunities facing employers both now and into the future, with a focus on best practice strategies for defining your employer position in the marketplace, developing a culture that attracts and retains the best talent, engaging with employees throughout the employee lifecycle and creating an environment that promotes learning, wellbeing and growth. It is ideal for managers with people responsibilities who need to expand their HR knowledge, as well as HR professionals looking to deepen their understanding of current people and culture best practice.

Upon completion you will be able to: create a culture of collaboration and shared values that promotes Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB); apply best practices in talent management, employee engagement and health and wellness management; leverage learning and development interventions to build organisational capability and support career progression and employee retention; define and articulate an employer value proposition that differentiates your organisation in the talent market; and identify, assess and plan for the future world of work, including the workforce trends shaping how organisations attract, develop and retain people.
