This program focuses on writing clearly and concisely using plain English to ensure that communication of complex ideas is efficient and effective. The program will introduce the following themes:
- The importance of structured, concise, and clear writing
- Writing conventional and stylised text to engage users and meet business needs
- Writing sentences, paragraphs and documents that introduce, develop, connect, and call for action
- Writing documents that have a distinctive voice and appropriate tone
- Reviewing text so it is clear, concise, complete, and correct
- Writing using different writing structures
- Organising information drafting and reviewing content to engage users and promote understanding
- Applying these skills in real work applications
