March marks the Women's History Month, a time dedicated to commemorate and celebrate the social, economic and domestic accomplishments of women. In light of the month-long recognition of women, here at AIM we are delighted to profile two female entrepreneurs, Kimberley Britt AFAIM and Zoe Piper FAIM. Kimberley is previously a member of the AIM Young Manager Advisory Board and Chair of AIM's Emerging Leaders Board. Zoe is the former Chair of the AIM ACT Regional Advisory Committee and a finalist in the Emerging Entrepreneur category of NAB Women's Agenda Leadership Awards.
In January 2017 the South Australian Regional Advisory Committee was formed. The role of a Regional Advisory Committee is to reflect and amplify the strategic direction of AIM within South Australia. The Regional Advisory Committee works in an advisory capacity with AIM, to operationalise initiatives in that region and grow regional Membership and engagement.
This month we’re looking at the importance of benchmarking your salaries to reduce the risk of overpaying staff. More importantly, proper salary benchmarking ensures your best staff are appropriately compensated avoiding losing top talent and reduce high turnover rate. With that in mind, for over fifty years AIM has delivered reliable and up-to-date Australian salary data via our National Salary Survey (NSS).
Last Wednesday (8th March) AIM delivered the first series in what promises to be a great year of Signature Events! The annual International Women’s Day (IWD) luncheons sold out early at our five venues across the country in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. We had over 2,000 Members and Non-Members in attendance and raised a total of $42,000 for our very worthy charity partner, PROJECT FUTURES.
