AIM is proud to launch the first ever Australian Executive Education Survey!
AIM is proud to launch the first ever Australian Executive Education Survey. The survey aims to ascertain the nature and impact of executive education in Australian organisations in order to discern changes in training models, the learning and development environment for various management levels, and whether executive education has positive benefits for productivity.
The results of the Australian Executive Education Survey will be compared with data from organisations based in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The survey is modelled on Henley Business School’s Corporate Learning Survey, which is now in its seventh year. Key learnings from the 2016 Corporate Learning Survey include:
- Predicted greatest challenges: Effectiveness of managing teams, organisation-wide leadership capability and managing costs are going to be the greatest challenges predicted for the next three years.
- Change continues to challenge organisations: Achieving cultural change and major re-organisations are challenges for more organisations in 2016 than previously, particularly within larger organisations.
- Coaching is the key: Online learning is the least preferred learning & development format (with only 7% of organisations preferring it for senior & executive management), while coaching is the most preferred method (with 66% of organisations preferring it for senior & executive management).
- What to look for in a business school: When partnering with a business school, the ‘very important’ factors influencing the choice of partner that are cited most often by organisations are the business school’s ability to impact on individual performance/business issues, the quality of teaching and learning resources, and value for money.
There is currently very little data on executive education in the Asia Pacific region, but there is a growing need for it in order to create strategies that are effective to an organisations cost and productivity.
